A half-hearted good bye
A life with no happy ending.
No one to go home to.
Nobody to tuck you in,
Is a life without promise.
The long road that is hopeless.
I stand before you, arms no longer reaching.
No longer will I allow you to bring me down again.
I will rise in the moments that you fall.
I will succeed in the times when you need me most.
No longer will I be there for you.
The clock has stopped ticking.
Once the minute hand as reached one, I will have given up.
My scent will linger within the wind.
In moments of despair hold onto my picture and know that I was once there.
I refuse to say good bye.
So when we part ways i will not shed tears of agony, but tears to new beginnings.
