A poem for Nicole
I wish I was your cat
I would get to see you everyday.
I would get to stay around your feet,
that is where I should be.
I wish I was your plant,
I would live forever in your place.
The only light I would need,
is the shining aura off your face.
I wish I lived in your city,
I’d visit everyday
And when you get tired of me,
I’d take days to write what to say
I wish I was your pillow,
where you lay and rest your brow?
Your make up would get on me,
and so would your fragrant smell
I wish I was a melody,
that you loved like a bright star
Because then I could make u smile brightly,
no matter when or where u are.
I wish I was a joke you loved,
so I could hear your laugh.
Something quant and simple just for you,
the joke forever you could have
I wish I was a philosophy,
one that gave you strength.
Nothing I can do has that affect.
I can’t take away your pain.
I wish I was a tear,
that rolled out from your eyes.
It’s the only way Ill touch your face,
even if its caused by lies.
So I want to cause a little pain,
if its closer to you I get.
Some people are more selfish,
though these people I haven’t met.
I wish I was a star,
that you wished on during night.
I swear I’d grant whatever you want,
really anything you like.
Because you are my sun,
that burns itself out in the sky.
Like it you are many miles from me,
that’s not something I like.
But we talk on the phone and it feels so sweet,
it’s really what I need.
It’s better than what I’m use to,
like a dog I follow jingled keys.
Oh how I wish on you because,
you are the brightest star in the sky.
Almost all my wishes have come true,
every single night.
I pray to you because you are,
the kindest goddess that exists.
If you gave me a chance I could humble myself,
the way I should a piece of shit.
I beg you like a dog because,
that is what I am.
No matter how I try,
I’ll always be less than a man.
I wrote this just to tell you,
I’m glad that you’re alive.
I love every single part of you,
the out and the inside.
I would get to see you everyday.
I would get to stay around your feet,
that is where I should be.
I wish I was your plant,
I would live forever in your place.
The only light I would need,
