“God’s Gift”

“God’s Gift”

I do not see you often

But when I finally do

I know there is true beauty

I’m finding it in you

Your smile your demeanor

Your hair even your eyes

You carry yourself with grace

To me tis no surprise

Your tone when you are angry

The way your voice does screech

The way your nostrils flare

Your boiling point then reached

In every aspect gorgeous

From every angle great

A beauty like no other

Thank God for what he made

Enjoyed this poem. It is truly good to have someone to love.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
