After Heart Break

After Heart Break

Where does one heal the wounds from love?

Whispers in the soul
Lead by desire and passions
Confused amongst the world of reality

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

With flames shinning a bright orange glow
But, set aside to the theory of wonder
Battle the worldly expectations

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

Boundaries does not the heart know
Twisted within the mind and body
Always threatening to leap and sore

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

Somewhere deep inside it flows
Fluid rivers, bulging no focus in mind
Like blood pumping in veins

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

The grave fear of the cold
Pounding with despair and defeat
Hang the desire drive and passion

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

Embrace all that can be
Beauty hides deep inside the mind
Blackened by content and unchallenged by self

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

Follow paths loomed by smoke
Fear not what lies deep in the soul
Find the bearing bring to life the desire

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

Slowly, the true passion will show
Focused and whole bending not by influence
Gently guide and nourish the new found life

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

Bow no more, oh feel the soul
Resurfaced is the passion and alive is the desire
But, real and whole not tethered or worn

Let the heart breath
Let the heart grow

You are so correct. I almost am at a permanent fear in this regard....but writing helps. Thank you so much for your comments; I do appreciate them very much.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
