Young Love

Young Love

Sweet sixteen and never been kissed
Love, as we know it, in its purest forms
Is this love or just a myth?
Or is it love not yet scorned
Young love, so willing and innocent at heart

The purest of love intends to unwind
Forbidden love so warm and true
Love beautiful and pure--but yet a crime
In the innocence of love; they have not a clue
The heart is much stronger than the mind

Thoughts of love dance in the wind
Emotions high and full of fear
Their body's swell with passion from within
Caught up in the moment the time is near
The thirst for passion is strong and sure

Innocence now holding on by a thread
Nevertheless, will it endure the strengths of love?
The purest of moments, are all but said
Passion explodes like that of doves
Never will this moment return again

This poem reminded me of my first experience with lust, I mean love. You captured those feelings quite well for me. I also feel a part of yourself being revealed. You have included some soul in this writing.

Hi There! I tend to write with every part of me, including my soul. This part of me has never been figured out by men and probably never will; which is such a shame. Thank You so much for the kind words!

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
