    Poem Commentary

    I hurt today and Im feeling old. It will pass.

    ageless

    Am I to young to be this old?
    even the weather hurts my bones
    ~
    I look in the mirror and I see 35
    I turn to walk away and feel 85
    ~
    I really am greatful for a mind such as mine
    and greatful for my heart that
    is giving and kind.
    ~
    Im shelled in this body thats
    broken and tattered.
    ~
    Because the sticks and the stones
    have hurt my bones.
    I know its the words that really matter.
    ~

    short but so true to life! as we all get older the reality of life and its passage of time become more real. eventually we either become passive to life or more assertive. i like your poem thanks!
