All I Want
I want my face
to be the last thing you see
before you close your eyes and sleep.
I want my voice
to calm the worry and sedate the pain
that smolders in your soul.
I want to memorize
the rhythm of your heartbeat
and how it feels beneath my hands.
I want those moments of happiness
that others take for granted.
I want you
to bring out the best in me
so that
I can be the best
for you.
