Alone Again, Unnaturally

Alone Again, Unnaturally

Hello, old friend.
My mind's candle cannot light up your name;
But I know your face.
I sift throught the dusty memories
of a life past.
The answer has slipped through
The slim waist of the hourglass.
I knew your once; loved you.
Do you remember?
Was I happy then?
Were you?
My minds screams for something to say;
But words fail me;
My wounds cripple me.
I've forgotten what it feels like
to talk with you,
To be happy.
Ghosts of former lives haunt me;
There is nothing I can say.
You walk away unmoved,
And I am alone again

Sometimes our heart will cry for us......so sad that one has to be left alone, aching, and hurting so.............A very nice poem........

oh my lost love and a poets true friend. Even tho our hearts break our pens fill the pages with some our best work and this is truely good. Wonderful words to form great imagery, a talent i see comes from thee. Keep writing and posting and i will certainly be there to read. Truely great art and a ten from me.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
