    Alone

    All alone am I
    No children here
    Just thoughts and fears
    Fears that I will forever be alone
    The quiet rages through my mind
    filling me with thoughts and tears.
    Is this what my life is destined to be?

    All alone am I
    No one here but me.
    I have never felt so dismissed.
    So unneeded so alone.
    I hear nothing but my own heart beating.
    They have no idea how much they are missed.
    They have no idea how loved they are.

    All alone am I
    Just me and my thoughts
    Thoughts of emptiness and I feel so cold.
    I wonder if they even feel
    the love I hold for them in my heart.
    So as I grow old
    and let them go.

    All alone am I
