in the darkness

In the Darkness
she hides tears flowing pain unending, she falls
to the floor gripped with fear,
all alone over and over to the darkness she calls.
Tired of the fight, tired of the hopelessness she feels.
Tired of loving; tired of breathing; tired of feeling dead inside.
She cries tears of regret and shame,
She wants to run and hide.
Slipping away from her reality again,
heart closing, frozen like stone,
She chooses a different path,
She vows to forever remain alone.
So into the darkness she runs, see the silver flash?
The steel so enticing the pain to much to bear,
She is falling again, slicing her way to free the pain,
She sees the blood run, feels it's stickiness, she no longer does care.
The relief is something that no-one can understand.
She wonders as she bleeds in the darkness, if she cut too deep.
As conciousness slips away, she worries not
for no-one would weep.
