Angels - No Myth

Angels - No Myth

I always knew that Angels were fictitious,
a myth, and urban legend even, something
that you know cannot exist in reality.

I know this because I am intelligent, I read
and i am not a simple minded person who
clings onto unreality to make things better.

But Oh! Do I wish I could live my life over
knowing then what i know now.
Angels do exist and flourish all around.

They are not just cherubic beings with arrows,
or avenging angles thrust down from heaven.
Angels are simple. They are here but they are not.

A gentle breeze upon one's brow, yet there is no wind.
Soft gentle touch like a kiss from gossamer lips,
yet you are alone. But you feel the kiss.

That simple thought that comes from within at
your darkest hour - why am I smiling?
I have no reason to - but I can't stop.

Words that dance across the page, caressing
and cajoling - making light that which really was nothing.
The caress of words - distant but you can feel them.

Notes heard from within - a melody sweet,
alluring in its simplicity. Stirs emotions and lights the night.
But there is no music. I listen though with Joyful heart.

Angels carry these thoughts, words and play and
dance with them across the ways so that we can feel,
love and laugh. Angels are real.

In each word and thought, each note they play,
Angels Help us.
They bring us together even when apart.

Angels place love and friendship back into our hearts.
They replenish our souls and give us our life.
Angels are real. They are here and they are not.

good work..., just remember to let your writing flow. Try not to put so much thought into them yet let it make sense and paint an image. Make your reader see what you see

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
