BEACH MEMORIES

Colored umbrellas dart the beach
Making memories and lessons to teach.
Children making castles
Out of the sand,
Nothing else right now
Their attention does demand.
Hills and figures and holes dug deep.
What else matters but smiles to keep.

The pain that some must continue to bear,
But for these moments which help to pare,
The sting of life's arrows until we're there
On the other side...
Holding hands with the angels and forever to abide
In God's love so deep and so wide.
