    Branching out Of Sorrow

My sadness lies under the muddy pit,
Dibbled into the earth it cries out
And hidden from the warmth of the sun
It dries out, even with your bitter words.

My sorrow has ended its yielding plea,
As I spied my chance to escape
    This hollow tree.
And there, up with his limbs
I look again for the warmth of the sun
And take me again to that tender place
    Where tears no longer fall.
