Cry for Love

Cry for Love

I know in my hear to love my own sister,
B ut the bruises she bore crosses my emotions
Into something darker, more sinister.
Even of bitterness I run,
I still roam in my sad tears
And mouth forgiveness
I want to love, and be loved.
Forgive, forgive
I cry myself at night until the pain subsides,
Forgive, forgive I will still
In all time these bruises will heal
And so will my heart for her.
Forgive.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
