    Can You Feel My Heart Beat?

    Can you feel my heart beat?
    Can you feel my lips so sweet?
    can you feel my whispers true?
    Oh my Darling, I love you!

    Do you want to hold me near?
    Do also want me dear?
    As i cling so close to you..
    Do you hunger for me too?

    Are you thinking of me now?
    are you wondering if somehow,
    Two that yearn so much can see,
    Together is where they should be?

    Can you smell the fragrance sweet?
    my hair touching your cheek?
    Can you feel my heart beat?

    Tell me now the time is near.
    Yesterday is gone tomorrow is here.
    Destiny calls hands fate be shown
    Remembrance of this time we've known.

    as you taste my lips so sweet my hair across your cheek
     passions hunger desires deep 
    Can you feel my heart beat?

    This poem is all about reassurance. The simple sensation of the heart beat at once is significant of life vs death, but it also suggests that the presence of the other influences the heart beat in its rate or strength. But at its deepest level, the question is posed, after all this time, do you really know me, know my heart? What am I really to you, lover? Is there any reciprocity, or is this just an issue for women to wrestle with? I hope you got all the right answers, RD. Harv
