    “CYCLING”
    By: Ted

    Climbing up that bloody hill,
Takes a lot of guts and will.
You find the gear that suits you best,
And hope your lungs can stand the test.

At first you think you're doing fine,
But then you realize the time.
What should have took a minute or two,
Is now an hour, way past due.

You shift into a higher gear,
And peddle like the end is near.
You notice still you're way behind,
And strength to make it, you just can't find.

So stepping off the bike you go,
Pushing up the hill so slow.
If someone sees you, try to hide,
They might not notice, you almost died.

If not for hills, you would be bad.
The best the world could ever have.
It's not the bike that makes you great,
But you yourself, and the things you ate.

But since the hills are always there,
For those who climb, it's never fair.
The more you struggle, the less you gain,
The higher you get, the more the pain.

    “SO GET WITH IT!”

Never was much for biking, but this helped me to understand some of the draw...well done!

I am not a biker but a former runner. I enjoyed reading this. Rhythm and rhyme was great to read
