    THE FRIENDSHIP POEM

    By: Ted

Friends are forever, they bring joy to the soul.
Make fun of each other, and in sad times to hold.
A friend knows you better, than you know yourself.
They know when you’re hurting, and are willing to help.

They make the world brighter, with each passing day.
But some times you wonder, at the things that they say.
If it were not for friends, we would be all alone.
There’d be no one to talk to, and no one to phone.

You are my friend, and I hope I am yours.
Sharing good times and laughter, and in sad times we mourn.
As class mates we share, a similar bond.
From school days to present, the memories are fond.

No matter how busy, our lives seem to be.
When friends get together, it is special indeed.
So take time to cherish, the friends that you have.
You’ll find that your schedule, wasn’t nearly that bad.

The years may have passed, since the days of our youth.
And sometimes it hurts, when we look at the truth.
But like others before us, and the ones still to come.
This thing we call friendship, is but second to none.

Classmates are friends that forever will be mine. Friendship as such is sure hard to find

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
