Dreaming Dreams

It's all blurry,
Maybe it never happened.

A boy not yet a man,
He grows up before your eyes.

Until one moment in time your heart stops,
This was so unexpected.

Not even eighteen.
Two years gone and it still feels like a dream.

You wish and wish,
But it all comes to naught.

So rest your head,
In your dreams he can still be.

But remember this as you wish,
Nothing can change this.

Tomorrow life goes on,
But for now dream those sweet dreams.

He feels so real,
Looks so real,
Sounds real,
But it's just a dream.

Life can be cruel,
Take people we love.

We never truly let go,
Reality has no influence on dreams.

He lives on,
Close to your heart in your subconsicous thoughts,

Writing like dreams can take you there to a place of peace. To deal with the reality we normally run away from love is a beautiful thing and your heart is still pure. Love is two hearts which listen and talk as one.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
