"Dusk"

This night arrives with elegance

Subdues my soul with softness…

Surreal hues and scents of Earth…

As dusk moves through the warm sky.

Awareness ever so gently

Soothes this man’s form and being.

Brings forth his emotions…

For all which he holds at this moment.

Geese speak amongst the Pink and Blue…

Pastels on painted wonder…

A roar to my heart…

A smile to this mans soul…

Snow has peered through the fall…

A glimpse of winter not yet…

White soft blanket of beauty…

This night arrives in elegance…

This is very beautiful Stephen. I loved the beginning and the ending. Superbly written. I did not know you were of this kind of talent. Just lovely the way you describe the picture. I loved it. Hugz

Wowwowwow Mr Michael, what a first poem to come across of yours. I have an enjoyable time to look ahead to as I read my way through your back catalogue on this evidence. This is soft and heartwarming, uplifting almost. The line "Geese speak amongst the pink and blue" is a stunning line, one of the best I have read in some time. I'm glad I've stumbled across you sir.

Beautifully written; captures a piece of the wonder and peace of an autumn night.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
