I seek not to fracture existence…

I choose to soften rough edges…

Moisten with tears of love all parched moments…

Sow life’s beauty deeply into my heart…

Pain has its fortunes…

Gives meaning to all which is good…

I look to each day as a gift…

Wanting only to be in the here and now…

Wanting the future…

Not pushing it to hinder thoughts…

Nor actions…

Stepping into fear not hiding from it…

Tis easy to stay in the shade…

Resting in comfortable turmoil…

Crying for what could be…

What should be…

Each morning I ask only to open my eyes…

Watch yours come to awareness…

Taking now into my arms…

Holding today close to this mans heart…

I hope for you the same…

Time to breathe…

Time to smile…

Time to love…

Stephenmichael… (05.25.10) I am comfortable…Just for today.

As are you!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
