    Escaping Reality

    Standing in a golden meadow
    The sunlight pouring down
Everywhere around me i can hear the thunder pound
I close my eyes and the sounds begin to disapear
I'm in my meadow now, where i know no fear
Escaping to my little world, that is how i face each day
My haven where i can run and play
The world around us is such a scary place
A pain and hateful world that is hard to face
Some people put a smile on and keep on moving forward
Others back away, curl up and cry in a corner
Still there are others who escap reality
Build themselves a world so they don't have to see
I'm standing in a golden meadow
    The sunlight pouring down
Everywhere around me i can hear the thunder pound
I close my eyes and the sounds begin to disapear
I'm in my meadow now, where i know no fear

I LOVE THIS MASTERPIECE OF YOURS, I MEAN EVERY STANZA OF IT! I'VE ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH AND I KNOW I'LL BE BACK TO RE-READ IT, BRAVO!!!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
