Fairy Freedom
Just beyond the shadows cast by the lining of trees,a place of magic rustles the leaves.
You can go there if you close your eyes,
If you listen, you can hear the fairies' cries.
They await for you to strip your concerns,
They flutter and light up as they know what you are about to learn.
Within adulthood comes responsibility and fret,
The simplicity of giggling is what we most forget.
Butterflies and fireflies gently swirl around your stomach,
You haven't felt this since playing with dolls or trucks.
If you give in and let your inner child play about,
I wonder, just wonder, what may come out.
Take a moment within your "grown up" day,
Imagine the fairies and allow yourself to play.
Worries and concerns will await you, no doubt,
But just for a moment, close your eyes and let their glitter and joy show you a way out.
