Fears Of Tomorrow
We are all afraid of day after today
It is a new day and we do not know
What it will be like when we get there
The sun is shinning today, what about tomorrow?
We have faith in what we can see,
Fear on what we can’t see, like tomorrow
Food on the table for today and tomorrow?
Many reasons to fear tomorrow
Because it a new day we have to face
We concentrate on yesterday, so as to be safe
From tomorrow. We relive the memories
Created yesterday so as to be able to face
The unfeasible that we think tomorrow is
If we had a choice we would forever live today
The wait is full of anxiety of how tomorrow
Will be like, will it be like today, or yesterday?
We want to hold on to what we know best
And yesterday and today are the familiar faces
That we hold onto and long to last forever
As much as yesterday and today may be difficult
We prefer to hold on, and fight on with what we know
Though we might hope for better tomorrow
That we are not so sure, so we just walk into
Tomorrow because we have no choice but to.
We tend to hold too much on today has our present
Not wanting tomorrow to interfere with what we have
But without knowing it we find ourselves in tomorrow
And with the fear hanging on has we wait for yet another
Tomorrow that will always find it way into our lives.
