    Fight

Through the daily civil war I've been beaten and battered.
The remnants of my life are broken and scattered.
Many of my hopes and dreams have been stolen or shattered.
Like a flag from the storm I'm worn and tattered.

Many have tried but they can't bring me down.
Letting go of my pride I'm knocked to the ground.
Begging me to abide I still hear no sound.
With no one by my side no doubt I'm hell bound.

The future for me, who know's where I'll be.
Just stand in my shoes and through these eyes you will see.
No matter the price I will pay any fee.
To get ahold of myself to find my sanity.

Through this life I will struggle.
    Under pressure I won't buckle.
I will breathe until I'm out of breath.
I will fight until my very death.

Very determined to carry on....through it all rise and fall you hold yourself with dignity. I like that and I love the poem very well written my friend.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
