From The Heart

Tragedy, lies and heartache have lately been the norm
I can hear the thunder and see the lightning
But just can’t dodge the storm
Some days I care and some days I don’t
Sometimes I will and some times I won’t
Admit to myself how much I truly need you
Yes, need means love and love means us
Our love didn’t blossom in an overnight rush
It took some time and then time took us
Through a long and patient journey of learning to trust
We knew together we could do so much
You could just feel it between us whenever we touched
Seems all between us now lay mountains and miles
Gone is the laughter the touching and the smiles
Wouldn’t you want it back honey if you could?
The bridge built, though shaky, still crossable
Through the Lord, you yourself know that any thing is possible
Take this time, as I will as well, and look into your loving heart
Maybe you’ll find there’s still time to make a brand new start

This is exactly where I am right now in my life. My boyfriend and I were gradual as well but now it's moved the opposite direction. Thank you for sharing this.

you are so good with words..great piece of work.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
