More Than A Letter
More Than a Letter
Each day I wait impatiently
For the message of love and hope
It comes on time as usual
Hidden in a softly scented envelope
Inside there’s a long sweet letter
I receive one each and every week
Her loving words flow off the paper
As I read I think I hear her speak
My heart hangs on to every word
She’s the woman of this man’s dreams
Her sentences are alive with love
I can almost feel her touch it seems
In a couple of weeks, I’ll hold her
No more letters do we need to send
When I finally put my arms around her
Lord knows I’ll never let her go again!
Each day I wait impatiently
For the message of love and hope
It comes on time as usual
Hidden in a softly scented envelope
Inside there’s a long sweet letter
I receive one each and every week
Her loving words flow off the paper
As I read I think I hear her speak
My heart hangs on to every word
She’s the woman of this man’s dreams
Her sentences are alive with love
I can almost feel her touch it seems
In a couple of weeks, I’ll hold her
No more letters do we need to send
When I finally put my arms around her
Lord knows I’ll never let her go again!
