I look around and I don’t know what to say
Why are the churches so obsessed with money these days?
At church, all they talk about is money, money, money
It’s getting so scary; it’s not even funny

It seems like we’re paying for salvation
On top of all these terrible taxation
It’s getting so that nothing is free anymore
Now we’re paying for what Christ did two thousand years
Before

The pastors are getting away with murder, so to speak
They’re making thousands and thousands each week
Some churches ask for a week salary comes Easter
It’s like we’re giving nothing to God, everything to Caesar

I said I’d become an entertainer to get rich quick
But my friend looked at me as if I were sick
He said you don’t know what you’re saying
Go to church and look at all the tithes they’re paying

If you want to get rich quick, become a pastor
I’m sure you’ll get rich much faster
