    • I'm currently turning my poems into songs. A little re-writing here and there. Would be grateful to find someone who can write music. If anyone knows someone who can write music or who can sing, send them my way.

    Growing Old

I know what my future holds
    My hair will turn grey
    My skin will get old

    My teeth will fall out
    I'll get gangrene
Or a case of the gout

    My parents will die
    I'll miss them so much
That I'll say "me oh my"

    I'll forget who I am
    Forget why I'm here
Or just not give a damn

    Remembering the old days
With a blank look on my face
    Looking with a gaze

Just great my pants have a rip
    Forget growing old
    I'm leaving in my spaceship

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
