    He may have said.

He may have said he loved me He may have said he cared He may have said he would always be there But when I waited for him to come back I knew what he had on his mind was the opposite if that leaving me to cry my river of tears And to live with all my fears I knew that it wouldn't last But when he spoke to me so sweet that thought became the past He may have said he loved me But an allusion is all it would ever be He may have said he cared And that was all he dared He may have said he would always be there But when he wasn't here I needed him to mend my tear The pain of a broken heart makes me wonder if I will ever want to love again And I have lost many honest men He Had me thinking If he has broken many hearts I Wonder if there are better uses for a darts Then to just throw at a board If it wasn't a life that belonged to the Lord And a jail sentence and a trip to hell People would be hearing another death bell To many consequences so I am Waiting for the sorrow to leave Or is it going to fail to heave Why did he say he loved me Now my heart will never be free Why did he say he cared When even that was to much to bare Why did he say he would always be there When he didn't even try to care

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
