    Poem Commentary

This is in dedication to my older brother.. He means the world to me.. =] =]

    My Own Blood...

You're the one i always counted on.
    The one I depended on.
You were always there for me
But you never charged a fee

    We're more than blood.
The tears have been a flood.
    We've gone through enough
    We've had it really rough.

We never knew what was going to happen next
All she ever sent us was some written text.
    She was worthless to us
She made our lifes a worthless fuss.

    We got through it all
We tried not to let each other fall.
    Through every night and day.
She would never take us away.

    I always needed you.
    Someone to look up too.
    You are my brother.
I would never ask for another.

    Years later, you're married.
    Our lives are varied.
You have the love of your life.
And she recently became your wife.

I'm happy you're life is better.
At that thought my eyes are wetter.
    I love you my brother.
I'm so happy we'll always have eachother.

A shared hardship; especially with a brother or sister, creates an unbreakable bond of love and affection, for life... Great tribute write, Mel...

Family is always important. I come from a good family, and glad to see others are out there too. I give this a 10. Also, couple things I wanted to point out. I know you can't fix these til the contest run is over... S3, "lifes" should be "lives". Also, the finaly stanza, happy "you're" should be "your", and you have "eachother" run together. Hope that helps!

Its good that you have strength to lean on. Family can make the best allies or sometimes the worst enemies. Hopefully he reads this...

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
