    I KNEW

    From the moment we first met, I knew
    it would be special between me and you.

    You are like the son I've never had;
    Best conversations since my Dad.

    As your person came more into view
    I began writing descriptions of you:

    So old to be so young,
    about this I am not wrong;

    Yet so much life to live
    with so much love to give.

    I came to know your heart
    as it was shattered apart.

    In a short matter of time,
    we shared laughter and rhyme.

    A man from which confidence imparts.
    You are poetry with a beating heart.

    Such a warm heart with love to share.
    Your strong arms giving gentle care.

    Now our souls have been laid bare,
    so little left that we haven't shared.

    There's something special between me and you.
    From the first moment we met, I knew!

    wow! what an insight into anothers soul. It usualy takes years of close freindship for that kind of bond.

    The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

    Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
