    I’m pretending

    I’m pretending to have a
    Dad who loves me.
    I’m pretending he is still
    Around here at my side.
    I’m pretending we spend
    Time together.
    I’m pretending he calls
    me his wild child.
I’m pretending we play in the
Park were mom can watch us.
    I’m pretending we are eating
    some cake after we play.
I’m pretending we are now walking
    And enjoying an ice cream.
    But now I see that I don’t
    Have a dad.
I see its reality that my dad
    Don’t care about me.

This is one of my poems when I was maybe 5 or 9. the othe two is lost in my closet some where in there (its a mess in my closet).

I kinda know where you're coming from...sort of. I'm glad you mentioned your age because it makes the poem that much more tragic. Very good, I really like it.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
