Journeys

Journeys

When the journey is done
We'll add the miles
and see where we've gone

Pack on my back
hat for the rain
traveling with the sun
seems the journey's over
before it's begun...

Once years ago
I crossed Canada to Vancouver
and looked back
over where I'd gone
miles and miles of highway
wilderness and great cities
sometimes other people
sometimes empty spaces
never reached by anyone...

When every Journey's over
there is always time
to look back
then look ahead to start another one....
