    Words Scrawled On Sand

    Words Scrawled On Sand

    Scrawled words on sand
    wind blown away
like words the wind and waves
scatter and wash away on sand

    Thoughts are wind driven scattered
dreams of far place never seen
    only thoughts to have been
    new places and new faces
from some carnival scene of gaiety

    imagined pictures of places
    blowing away with the wind
taking away all that's well known
    leaving new scrawls on sand

    Like words on sand
    wind blown away
unclear hazy clouds far out at sea
    dark storms driving foaming
white waves crashing high on the beach

foam rippled sand marked by storm surge
as the tide washes in and wipes the marks
    of rippled sand away

Words scrawled on sand will never stay
so let the strong stormy sea wind
    blow you far far away
as the waves wipe out the days
    Seay

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
