    Tangles

    Tangles

    Tangles of silken strands
    blowing wild
    for the breeze to chase
    breaking softly on skin
    like foamy waves on sand

    Tangles of auburn and gold
    tangled somewhere in the night
    spreading across the bed
like a glorious halo of shining bright hair
    around her head

    Tangled in the morning
    tangled in the moonlight
    tangled tangles in the dawn
    tangling all the time....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
