Kathy's Kindred Spirit

Kathy's Kindred Spirit

Kathy’s going down today; the pain is upon her face

Kathy’s falling fast, no one knows her disgrace

Kathy’s cried ten thousand tears, enough to fill an ocean

Kathy’s biggest wish today is to just feel no emotion

She wonders who she could have been had her innocence not been stolen

She wonders how far she could have gone had he not been so controlling

She longs to be free from this gripping death that constantly pulls her down

She yearns to soar just like a dove so high above the ground

Her eyes so bleak and beautiful, her face almost angelic

Her sweet, sweet melancholy, her grief almost prolific

No one there to keep her safe, no one to hear her screams

No one to save her from those ugly, nightmarish dreams

Still a child trapped in the dark and all alone

Still so small and helpless just like she’s never grown

She does not know how strong she is, how much she’s overcome

She does not know her worth, she’s leery of everyone

So Kathy’s going down today; the pain’s still on her face

Kathy’s falling fast, overcome by this disgrace
