Twilight's Song
Twilight's song, direction of the wind
Swiftly moving me along, to my chagrin
Taking me away, far from here
Vague movements, dusky sight unclear
Silhouette of a plume strikes my face as I go by
Bones of the past, oh so old and dry
Thunderous shaking, as the heavens open up and cry
Evening star stirring in the sky
Soft melody on the wings of the night
Floating on the notes sweetly played
Caressed quietly by nightfall's serenade
Gently now as the lullaby to the babe
Like the cherub's sweet voice in the nave
Soft billows drift to the refrain of the forgave
Luminary shadows shine from above
Basking in the glow of moonstruck love
Nocturnal serendipity, in the hands of fate
Singing of the faint, with whispered echoes we await
In the lull of the sunset, one can only anticipate
The hour of devotion drawing us near
Harmonizing sounds, such pleasure to the ear
