MY BEST FRIEND
Two best friends have I
Enobong, Enobong, so we grew together
Like to a double apple, seeming parted
But yet a union in partition
Two close friends moulded in one stem
So, with two seeming bodies but one heart
Like a bond in David and Jonathan
Oh Enobong my childhood friend
Should all acquintance be forgotten
And never brought to min?
I looked upon everyday to be lost
Which I do not make a new acquintance
I master the art of silence
A time for silence and time to let go into their destiny
A time to pick up the pieces when it's all over
So I moved and new acquintances I got.
Ogechi, Ogechi of all the heavenly gifts mortal men commend and offer
What trusty treasures can contrevail a true friend
Winter, Spring, summer or harmattan
All you have to do is call
Nothing worth the heart of winning
But laughter and the love of friends
Love comes from blindness
Friend comes from knowledge
