    my forever joy

    when i saw you crying,
it torched my heart like i'm dying.
    this is not happening,
in my mind your face keep popping.
    i keep smiling like insane,
and you know you're to blame.
    you're like a star,
    who shines from afar.

    looking for my forever joy,
    beaming, adjusting my coy.

    so serene, so heavenly,
    look down at me dearly.
    like a flicker of dust,
    and specks of rust.
hope you'll come and play my harp,
it won't hurt you because it's not sharp.
a melody of non stop fun,
    please don't hide, don't run.

Good simile! I like the rhyme and how you put the star, heaven, crying to smiling, and playing a harp. Very good!

    ..thanks!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
