My Memories of Holy Writ

"Go with God my son."
Or so the saying goes
Yet with God was I once
Suffering all the more
For giants of sin are we

"Blessed be thee."
Or so it can be said
Upon a path of righteous malice tread the men of God
Such roads I have seen with unblinking eyes
Now the essence of elemental sin am I

"In God we trust."
I made that same mistake
And so an age of blood stained tears
Met a meaningless end without purpose
I am indeed glad to condemned be
