My rare gem
Since you came into my lifeYou have been a lover and a great friend
Simply a rare gem
That I've treasured more each year
For you have been so dear
I bloom in your love
That has been so deep and true
The fond recollections
Of precious memories
Created over the years
That even the passing time
Nor the distance in miles
can erase the pleasure
Of the warm joy they arouse
You are a priceless gift
That God sent my way
When I most needed a hand
Through life's constant struggles
And at a point of discovering myself
Always, ''the wind beneath my wings''
Worth far more than gold, that's you
No words, nothing I could ever do
Could repay your kindness and thoughtfulness
A very rare blend in today's world
I owe you all I am and will ever be
For daring me to dream and achieve
And this early morning as I think of you
I pray despite the circumstances
God will grant me one wish
A strong and blessed bond forever with you to share
Binding our kindred hearts together
As the years go by.
