THE TREE BY MY BEDROOM WINDOW
This mighty cedar tree
That hovers above my abode
That embellishes my mornings
Imparts a coolness in the hot middays
And enchants my evenings
with the murmur of its myriad leaves
I reverence
its lofty tops
Strewn out of its stalwart trunk and limbs
The foot thick back
It's irresistable to cuddle
Her beauty entrapping
with such tight perfection
And an encompassing spiritual absorption
In spring
its leaves are springy and alive
It defies the stormy summers
with a meritorious guile
Fall expostulates with it
but it boldly resists the metamorphosis
But in winter
It seems to acquire
an antithetical luster
Despite the lurid chill
The snow tapped leaves and branches
Are an hypnotising pulchritude
Its hard not to venerate it with worshipful eyes
What an ethereal beauty.
That hovers above my abode
That embellishes my mornings
Imparts a coolness in the hot middays
And enchants my evenings
with the murmur of its myriad leaves
I reverence
its lofty tops
Strewn out of its stalwart trunk and limbs
The foot thick back
It's irresistable to cuddle
Her beauty entrapping
with such tight perfection
And an encompassing spiritual absorption
In spring
its leaves are springy and alive
It defies the stormy summers
with a meritorious guile
Fall expostulates with it
but it boldly resists the metamorphosis
But in winter
It seems to acquire
an antithetical luster
Despite the lurid chill
The snow tapped leaves and branches
Are an hypnotising pulchritude
Its hard not to venerate it with worshipful eyes
What an ethereal beauty.
