My Wife
When I got married Jean became my wife,
Together we live for the rest of our life.
For better for worse whomever at fault,
My love for her will never default.
Two sons we have for all our pain,
Grandchildren to have will be our gain.
Cards for birthdays we are to get,
It’s a tradition in which we are set.
Forty long years and still love that is true,
stuck to the waist as if by glue.
Together for ever to be so bold,
my hope she will be for me to hold.
I love you Jean with all my heart,
hope to stay this way and never depart.
But time marches on it is my belief,
Age takes away and causes such grief.
