NATHANIEL

NATHANIEL

As I sit at the park

And watch people go by

One single man

Catches my eye.

As he walks around

He carefully seeks

Something in the cans

He might be able to eat.

Now this simple man

For reasons I know not why

Looks like he could be

Very noble and wise.

As I finished my lunch

With a few bites left

I went over to the table

Where he decided to sit.

When I offered my scraps

He took them to save for a while

Then I asked him his name and

He said "Nathaniel" with a smile

sometimes the greatest people hit rock bottom before they sore...........it's called life

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
