    • "Morning without you is a dwindled dawn." -E. Dickinson

    No Longer

    I feel you no longer
your hand on my cheek is no longer there
    your hand in mine
    I cannot feel anymore
your strong embrace that kept me warm
    is now 400 miles away
yet I feel the distance is so much more
my heart breaks thinking of the space that keeps me from you
I long for something to make me feel you near
but your shirt no longer smells of you
I thought I'd always feel you with me
but now there's this feeling of nothing but emptiness
As if you are gone from this world
Just a memory that haunts my dreams
I no longer want to sleep
The true meaning of being alone
    I feel you no longer.

This is deeply heartfelt.......I feel your pain.....almost made me shed a tear on this write, so very strong & true.....We all try to balance the weight of having such a boulder on our shoulders off containing the distraghtness of losing a loved one........

The emptiness that comes with missing a loved one can make you feel like you have a hole in your heart. A hole which nothing else can fill. Nothing else besides being with that person.

So true! It's even worse when you can not be with them.

Yes when you miss your loved one, it is feeling which comes from the bottom of the heart.

    yes definitely a deep feeling.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
