The fallen
Pure and true
Is what I came with when I offered myself to you.
A broken man
Filled with the burden and stress of an old man
I wanted nothing more than to take your hand
To give you shelter through the rain
To give you anything and everything of me
Through the lightening and thunder
I lost my innocence
For a time I lost my way
With the many strikes you slashed across my heart
Caution was never taken
Once I was back in your arms
Blindly you lead me into the darkness
Never asking questions
Just followed behind you
Regret filled my heart each time
I left
And though I am not perfect
Perfection is what you expect
So where is there to go
Now the truth is once again
Set in front of me
Do I take the road I have always walked
Or cast the truth aside
And Follow you with my blind eyes
Each road leads to disaster
Just my unwavering faith in you
Will not hold us as one forever.
