Of Irony and Incongruity

In the silence i heard something

In the darkness i saw light

Went through pain but found comfort

Was in burning hell but felt peace in heaven

In summer I felt freezing cold

Was with friends but still felt alone

Looked at the mirror but never saw my reflection

Tried to speak but no one ever listened

Birds sing songs i can't even comprehend

The whole world spins around while mine stood still

Looked up and saw stars that don't shine

Embraced a pillow that won't hug me tight

I should have known how to run away

From the guiles of sweet temptation

Innocence won't do much good

When happiness turns to bleakness

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
