On The transmigration of Souls

On The transmigration of Souls

.
On The transmigration of Souls
.
I Feel alive, alone at last
All the spirits night time bring
Roll me gently in the past
Softly the music they do sing
.
There is nothing left to see
Except the stars and moon
Unchained now at last I'm free
Shadow is near, coming soon
.
Oh, great stone wheel of time
Lets me know of another place
Roll over me covered with slime
Can I run this other race
.
Come up on me sweet darkness
Let the one come over me
Wrap me in your arms caress
Black sunshine set me free
.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
