Poem 1
The golden maiden glistening her rays over everything today.
She’s listening for the children’s laughter as they play on the hills.
She hears the screams of all their thrills.
She spills out a song as the day grows long.
Her face is embracing.
Her pace is racing.
Now the day is done so she sleeps because she is beat from all the fun that was done.
Her sister arrives with easing pace and is fare of face.
She traces the sky with her dainty eyes.
I see her soft beam dance on top of the water so I go over to ponder.
I dash and begin to splash until my eyes wonder.
I see her reflection then I make the connection to the stars.
She looks so elegant and serene almost like a peaceful dream.
She lights all of space with beautiful grace.
She races across the sky so free and with that she says good-bye to me.
