Rebirth
Sanguine fire rushes forth slaking my thirst
spilling its heat in my mouth
burning my lips, my tongue, my throat
with beat after beat of your frantic heart.
My mouth moves on your skin, tasting you,
feasting on this ruby fount, the essence of your life,
until my body, my veins, are bursting with your blood.
In agony, I tear myself away from you
long enough to taste my own blood mingled with yours
savouring the coppery warmth as it flows
into your now hungrily devouring mouth
moving in synchronization with mine
taking back what I took, and more.
Newly born, we go forth to hunt in the night.
spilling its heat in my mouth
burning my lips, my tongue, my throat
with beat after beat of your frantic heart.
